    ITINERARY

     

    Day 1 Arrive at Beijing
    Forbidden-City-08-600x318English-speaking local guide will meet you on arrival at Beijing airport. You will be assisted with baggage handling and transferred to your hotel. Your guide will hand out English map of Beijing. Upon arrival at hotel, you will be assisted for check-in. Chinese dinner at local restaurant.

    Day 2 Beijing
    Great-Wall-41-600x337American style buffet breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Temple of Heaven. Then drive to Jade Museum for a visit. After a Chinese lunch at a local restaurant, spend the afternoon at the Great Wall. Enjoy Peking Roasted Duck dinner.
    Day 3 Beijing

Visit Tian An Men Square and walk to Forbidden City and enter through the South Gate. After touring the Forbidden City, enjoy Cantonese lunch. In the afternoon, visit Summer Palace. Visit a pearl store before returning to the hotel.
    Day 4 Beijing - Xian
    Wild Goose PagodaFull buffet breakfast at the hotel. You will be escorted to the airport and fly to Xian. Upon arrival at Xian Airport, you will be greeted by your local guide and assisted with baggage, and transferred to the city. You will be served mineral water and provided with English map en route with program orientation. Upon arrival in the city, visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, drive to the Southern Gate of the Old City Wall. Drive to your hotel for check-in. Special Dumpling Banquet Dinner at a local restaurant.
    Day 5 Xian
    Terra-Cotta WarriorsBuffet breakfast at the hotel. Visit Terra Cotta Warriors Museum at the excavation site. Have lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon, visit the Muslim area and the bazaar. Balance of the day is at leisure. Evening is open. You can enjoy Western dinner at hotel or try one of unique local restaurants and stroll the night market. Or taken an optional dinner show that include dinner, Tang dynasty show and round trip transfers.
    Day 6 Xian - Lhasa

You will be greeted at the Lhasa Airport, one of the highest in the world at an elevation of 3,570 metres (11,710 ft). Take a rest in the hotel to adapt to the high altitude. Dinner is included.
    Day 7 Lhasa
    Tibet-06-600x399Enjoy buffet breakfast in hotel. Visit the great Potala Palace, the landmark in Lhasa and the Winter Palace of Dalai Lama. In the afternoon visit Jokhang Temple,  the economic, political and cultural center of Tibet in the history. Then have a stroll in the Barkhor Street. Special dinner in Snowland Restaurant.
    Day 8 Lhasa
    Tibet-16-600x449After breakfast visit the Drepung Monastery. Visit Norbulingka, the Summer Palace of Dalai Lama in the history. Then Sera Monastery, and watch Lama Debate in the afternoon. Lunch and dinner are included.
    Day 9 Lhasa - Chongqing - Yangtze Cruise
    Tibet-03-600x399American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Check out of your hotel and you will be escorted to the airport and fly to Chongqing. Lunch on board. Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local guide. Enjoy a city tour of Chongqing Zoo for Giant Pandas and the People’s Square. After lunch you will be transferred to the pier for embarking the cruise ship. The ship will sail at 9:00 p.m.
    Day 10 Yangtze Cruise
    panda1-600x314Western style buffet breakfast. You will have a shore excursion to Fengdu. Visit either the “Ghost City”, known for its statues of ghosts and demons on Mingshan Hill, or the new relocation village built for families who had to move as a result of the Yangtze River’s rising water due to the Three Gorges Dam. Additional shore excursion to Shibaozhai (river conditions permitting), with its impressive wooden pagoda, appropriately named “The Pearl of the Yangtze”.
    Day 11 Yangtze Cruise
    Yangtze RiverEnter the Three Gorges, one of the nature’s most extraordinary sculptures. Today you will pass through the first two gorges – Quang Gorge and Wu Gorge. Qutang Gorge is the shortest (5 miles), narrowest (500 feet), and most dramatic. The 25-mile long Wu Gorge is known for its quiet beauty, forest-covered mountains, and cliffs so sheer that the sun barely penetrates the precipices. Transfer to another vessel for a relaxing shore excursion through the attractive gorges of Goddess Stream. Enter Xiling Gorge, the longest (41 miles), and the deepest of the Three Gorges. In the evening, sail through the Three Gorges Dam shiplocks. Enjoy another shore  excursion to White Emperor City (river conditions permitting), an ancient city overlooking the western end of Qutang Gorge.
    Day 12 Yangtze Cruise - Yichang - Suzhou
    Yangtze-River-3-600x399After breakfast, visit the Three Gorges Dam at Sandouping, the largest dam in the world. Arrive in Yichang at 1:30 p.m. Disembark after lunch. You will be greeted by your local guide and transferred to Yichang airport. Fly to Shanghai. Upon arrival in Shanghai, you will be greeted by your guide and assisted for your baggage, and drive to Suzhou (about 60 miles). Enjoy dinner in local restaurant.
    Day 13 Suzhou - Shanghai
    Grand Canal SuzhouBuffet breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, visit Lingering Garden followed by a visit to Silk Factory. Lunch at a local restaurant. Visit Tiger Hill before return to Shanghai. Check in to your room. Balance of the day is at leisure. Optional: Dinner with show available. It includes Chinese dinner, the Era Show and round trip transfers.
    Day 14 Shanghai
    suzhou1-600x221American buffet breakfast at the hotel. Day is free. Explore the famous shopping districts, or visit Shintiandi (New World). The group will meet in the lobby in the evening for Huangpu River Cruise and Shanghai style farewell dinner.
    Day 15 Shanghai - Departure
