Exchange Rate

All tour fares shown are based on the USD-RMB exchange rate, which is subject to change. Should US Dollar (USD) devalue by 3% or greater to Chinese Yuan (CNY), Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. reserves the right to increase our tour prices accordingly. This applies to all tour payments. Once your tour is paid in full you are not affected by the currency fluctuation.

China Visa Requirement

Visitors to the People’s Republic of China must obtain a visa from one of the Chinese diplomatic missions unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries. Nationals of about 170 countries and territories may visit Hong Kong or Macau visa-free for a period ranging from 7 days to 180 days. Please visit our Chinese Visa page for more details. 72 Hours Visa Free Transit.This policy is applicable for foreign visitors who enter into, stay in and leave from the following 9 cities: Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shenyang, Dalian, Chongqing, Xian and Guilin. According to the regulations of Ministry of Public Security of the People’s Republic of China, foreign visitors who meet ALL of the following requirements could apply for the visa-free transit: 1, Holding passports issued by the following listed 45 countries; 2, Holding valid international travel documents; 3, Qualified for the entry requirements of their third destination country; 4,Holding valid airline tickets with 72-hour validation and making transit through the airport to the third country. 72-hour Visa-free Transit Policy is valid for passport holders from the following 51 countries: European Union countries, Ukraine, Serbia , Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Macedonia, Albania, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Australia, New Zealand, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Brunei, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar. This policy is subject to change and we are not bound to any responsibilities to update the policy in time.

Children

All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Accompanying adults are responsible for the safety of their children including to provide any necessary safety equipment (such as infant/child seats) where appropriate. Please note that many countries have adopted practices to prevent international abductions of children. If a person under the age of 18 years will be travelling with an adult other than his/her parents, or with only one parent, it is recommended that a notarized letter be written by the parents, or non-travelling parent, granting authorization to travel, including the dates of travel.

Tour prices for children: Baby under 2 years is free of charge for all the tours, and will have no seat or bed on trains, airline, at hotels, on cruise, or in theaters. Child of 2 to 11 years old is considered child rate. Children 12 years and older will be charged adult rate.

Passenger Information

You are required to provide your FULL passport names as appearing exactly on your passport. We require your passport name and passport number. Failure to do so can result in denial of boarding and the passenger takes full responsibility. When you receive the tour invoice, confirmations, e-tickets, etc. you should check and make sure the names appearing on the paper match exactly your passport names. Please note it is your sole responsibility to make sure all travel information is correct on your travel documents.

Payment

Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. accepts payment made by credict cards, debit cards, checks, and bank-to-bank wire transfer. The customers are responsible for any transaction fees. For some tours we accept pay-cash-upon-arrival.

Deposit. A non-refundable deposit of $300USD per person is due at the time of reservation. Reservation will not be confirmed until your deposit is cleared with our company. To secure a reservation on a trip departing within 60 days, full payment is required at the time of booking. If the full payment is late, all travel services will be subject to automatic cancellation. Please make sure the full amount is paidin advance in order to apply for reconfirmation of services.

For 10 years Chinese visa service, full payment is due at the time of order.

Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure. Reservation is subject to cancellation if final payment is not received by due date; the deposit will be forfeited.

Cancellation and Refund

All cancellations must be made in writing. For any cancellation made after the reservation has been confirmed with deposit, a processing fee of $300 will be charged. In addition, cancellations received within 45 days before departure, 50% or more depending on the proximity to departure, recoverable amount, and expenses incurred.

The above cancellation penalty will be carried out strictly regardless of the reason that you have to cancel. Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. strongly recommend our clients to purchase travel insurance to protect your travel investment.

Tour Materialization

Our package tours require a minimum number of 10 passengers to operate. In case that a specific departure must be cancelled due to lack of participation, we will notify all confirmed passengers prior to the final payment due date, and offer alternate dates of travel or a full refund. Please do not purchase any U.S. and/or Canadian domestic connecting flights, or other services which are dependent upon the operation of your China tour package, until this time. We will not be held responsible for any costs relating to the cancellation of a package tour, including but not limited to issuance and/or cancellation of airline tickets or China visa fees. In the unlikely event of a departure being cancelled due to political instability, government intervention, or other conditions beyond our control, we will make every effort to obtain refunds from our suppliers, but we cannot always guarantee a full refund.

Itinerary Changes

The tour itinerary can be affected by unforeseen situations. If a flight/hotel/cruise ship in the itinerary becomes unavailable, Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. reserves the right to make substitution with flight of similar schedule, hotel/cruise ship with equal standard and quality. There will be no refunds for any difference in the cost of those flights or accommodations. Local tour arrangements are based on local circumstances such as weather, traffic, holidays, etc.

Gratuities

The customary gratuities to the guides, drivers, porters and wait staff are not included in the tour price, unless specified. Tipping is optional and should be extended on a voluntary basis. What or when you choose to tip depends entirely on how you rate theservice. For bellboys, 1 US dollars per pieceof luggage isappropriated. For the tour guide and the driver, 1USD per day to the driver and 2USD per day to the guide is adequate. But it is still unnecessary to tip when taking a taxi, or dining in restaurants in China.

Baggage

Baggage loss/damage: Baggage is carried at passenger’s risk and baggage insurance is recommended. Although every efforts is made to handle your baggage carefully, Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. is not responsible, assume liability or accept claims for loss or damage to baggage and personal effects due to breakage, theft, or wear and tear throughout the trip. Baggage Overweight: China domestic airlines have stringent luggage restrictions allowing one piece of checked baggage that must not exceed 20kg/44 lbs per person, plus a carry-on baggage not exceed 5kg/11 lbs and it must fit in overhead bin or under seat. Baggage in excess of allowances will incur overweight charge payable on site by the passenger. Your luggage should be limited to one large checked suitcase and one small carry-on bag per person. Valuables, breakable items, travel documents and medications must be carried personally in a hand baggage. Please note that we suggest all checked baggage be locked when taking domestic flights in China, which is not against any regulations.

Legal Responsibility

Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. organizes and sells tour programs consisting of certain services, including air, surface, and water transportation, hotel/cruise accommodations, sightseeing excursions and other package programs that we purchases or reserves from various suppliers (herein referred to as “Suppliers”). Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. does not own nor operate any of these Suppliers. The Suppliers providing travel services for Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. are all independent contractors, and are not agents, affiliates, or subsidiaries of Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc.. As such, Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. can not be held responsible for any negligent or willful act of any supplier or of any third party. Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. shall not be in any way liable for any inconvenience, accidents, loss, personal injury or property damage to you or to those traveling with you in course of the trip resulting directly or indirectly from any occurrences or conditions including but not limited to delays, cancellations, change of schedule, overbooking or downgrading of accommodations, mechanical or construction breakdown, default of any third parties, criminal or terrorist activities, acts of governmental authority, social or labor unrest, hygiene, disease, customs regulations, weather conditions, Acts of God, or any other actions, omissions or conditions beyond the control of Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc.. Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. reserves the right to change the departure date of any trip, withdraw any tours, alter tour itinerary, and substitute hotels, airlines, cruise ship, Suppliers, and any aspect of your tour package for the convenience of the operation of tours. In the event of cancellation, alteration or substitution of such services due to the operation of the Suppliers, delays, weather, act of government authority or other causes of whatever nature beyond the control of Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc., comparable services would be offered; and, there shall be no refund or penalties in this connection. Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. reserves the right to decline to accept, or retain any person as tour member if such person’s physical or mental conditions, in our opinion, impede the operation of the tour. Profiles of hotels, restaurants, cruise ships or any other Suppliers are based upon information provided to Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. by Suppliers, or their representatives, including images and descriptions of individual properties. Star-ratings may differ from country to country. Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. does its best to offer updated information, however, is not responsible for any inaccuracies, changes in features or amenities, or images provided by third parties. We reserve the right to modify this Terms & Conditions at any time and Customer’s continued use of this service will be conditioned upon the Terms & Conditions in force at the time of use. Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. makes every effort to ensure accuracy on the website, and brochure; however we cannot be held responsible for any errors or omissions in the publications.

Claims and Jurisdiction

All claims against the tour operators must be filed in writing within 30 days after completion of the tour. By utilizing the services of Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc., you agree that the exclusive venue for all claims, actions or proceedings against Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. of whatsoever nature arising out of this contract shall be San Francisco; and, such claim actions or proceedings shall be determined according to the laws and jurisdiction of the United States. Limitation of Liability. By booking tours offered by Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc., you acknowledge that in all events Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. shall not be liable for any consequential, psychological or emotional damage and that the sole extent of liability of Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc. shall never exceed the amount actually paid by you to Palace Travel (U.S.) Inc.
